The Enemy

Student Reviewer: Jose S.

The title of the book I’m reading is The Enemy by Charlie Higson. The genre of this book is suspenseful descriptive, realistic fiction and thriller. Charlie Higson who wrote this book didn’t win an award, but he won for The Dead, the series of The Enemy.

The story takes place somewhere in London in a supermarket. The author is very descriptive about the book; he describes what the zombies look like, so nasty you can picture it in your head! He also describes how brave the characters are.The leader of one the kids' group is dying and they can't hold off the zombies and feed the group. A little boy comes and tells them a place where it is safe but it takes time to get there. Later the injured leader Arran gets himself shot after a  girl accidentally shoots at him because he went after the grown up zombie. Can the group make it in time before the zombies overrun them? Find out in The Enemy.

I would give this book five stars because the book is really descriptive about anythin, especially the places and the zombies faces. This book is a really a turn pager and interesting. especially if you likegory  action.. I would also recommend this book to my friend, Paul, because he has read The Dead and he would like to read the book because it’s the prequel to The Dead.
