                                                Galaxy Games

                                             by Briseida Morfin

The title of the book is Galaxy Games by Greg R. Fishbone. The genre of this book is adventure. This book does not have the Caldecott award but for me I would give it to it because it’s a really good book for teenagers.

This story takes place in Platte Bluff, Nevada, Tokyo Japan, and In the middle of the solar system. The author helps us know the character by describing how they look and their actions. In the story, Taylor Soto meets a girl called M’Frozza with three eyes who is going to save her planet.

In the story the conflict is that a spaceball is heading to earth. What do you think is going to happen to earth, is the spaceball hitting earth? Find more information about this story in Galaxy Games book.

The authors writing is interesting because he describes the people or thing that have action so the people that are reading this book could imagine the things or people and what are there actions.

I would give 5 stars to this book because it’s adventurous and is part about aliens and part about space. I admire space and alien stuff. I think people should buy it because it’s really amazing book that a teenage student is going to love. I recommend it to a friend that loves alien thing and adventure; she is really going to like this book.

TWILIGHT
BY: STEPHENIE MEYERS
BOOK REVIEWER: GRISEL SANTANA

The book I’m reading is Twilight by Stephenie Meyers. This book is paranormal book. Twilight was the #1 New York best seller list! Millions of copies were sold making Ms. Meyer a famous author.

This story takes place in Forks, Washington and at Forks High School. The author helps us know the characters by Bella, Edward, and Jacob because the author describes them in detail which helps us determine each character's personality. For example, when Bella made her new friend named Jessica she described Edward as mysterious.

The problem in the story is that Bella is noticing weird things about Edward and Jacob. The major conflict in the story is that Bella finds out that Edward is a vampire. She also finds out that Jacob is a werewolf. Also, there are three different vampires who are after Bella's blood, so Edward and Jacob are trying to protect her. Are the three vampires going to catch her or will Edward and Jacob going to protect her? Find out in twilight.

The interesting part in Twilight is the author uses a lot of details. Also, it’s interesting because Bella didn’t know that Edward was a vampire. She also didn’t know that Jacob was a werewolf.

I would give this book five stars. I liked this book because I just wanted to keep on reading it because the book was so intense. I encourage teenage girls to buy this book. I recommend this to them if they like romance, handsome vampires, hunky werewolfs, and being scared. This book is so intense!!!!!!!

The title of the book is Leo and Emily, the author is Franz Brandenburg, and the genre of the book is realistic fiction picture book because this book can happen to little kids.

The story takes places in the house of Leo and Emily. The author describes the characters as kind neighbors. In the story Leo and Emily are good friends.

Leo and Emily dress themselves in the dark. They go outside to play in the middle of the night. Leo and Emily are going to get in trouble? Find out in Leo and Emily.

The thing that is unusual about this book is that they go outside in the middle of the night without an adult and they are only six years old!

The story takes place in Plaza Regent. The author helps us know the characters by describing them as both on the run from criminals, the boy's named Blink and the girl is named Caution.

Blink witnessed a crime. What do you think Blink did? Is the criminal going to catch Blink? Caution is trying to get away from her drug dealer ex-boyfriend. Will she get caught? And how will Blink and Caution meet? The interesting thing about the author's writing is he keeps you guessing.

A Monster Calls

The book that I read was called A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. The genre of this book is Horror/Fantasy. I think this book deserves the Westchester award because of it incredible details it has. This book won the award for one reason and that reason was for its illistrations too!

This awesome story takes place near a graveyard. The author helps us know all the characters in the story specificly. He helps us know the main character by giving Conor the bravery of the story. His bravery is based on a monster that visits him. The reason for that was to tell him three stories based on his life. The monster can either be Conors worst enemy or would he be his best friend. Read A Monster Calls for yourself to find out!

I would rate this book 5 stars.I really enjoyed this fantasy yet horror type book. The reason for this is because of the amazing details of the story. I promise that you would love this book more than any other book. I would recommend this good book to anyone who likes horror/fantasy books. Your will not be unsatisfied with this awesome book!

    Celeste Lopez

The End of the Line by Angela Cerrito is a realistic fiction novel. It won the Westchester honorable mention for being an excellent young adult fiction book.

The setting takes place in River Falls and Great Oaks School Prison. Angela introduces Robbie, the  main character by by him talking about events in Great Oaks School Prison. All the other characters are introduced in the flashbacks. The End of the Line is about Robbie accidentally killing his friend Ryan in a fight and how he deals with prison life.
The major conflict is that he kills Ryan over a stupid thing and gets the consequence which is Great Oaks School Prison. Will Robbie ever get out of Great Oaks School Prison? Find out tin the the book The End of the Line.
The interesting and unusual thing about the author's writing is that he has flashbacks. Her writing is so descriptive that i feel as if I'm watching Robbie and Ryan fight. Also as if I'm in Greta Oaks School Prison going through what Robbie went through.
I give this book five stars. I would recommend it to everyone except maybe first-fourth graders. I wouldn't recommend it to these kids because I think they won't understand it. I recommend it to everyone else to read it because they will learn a lesson that is don't fight over ridiculous things. Also because those who want to know what it's like in prison. I enjoyed this book because it teaches a great lesson.

The Enemy

Student Reviewer: Jose S.

The title of the book I’m reading is The Enemy by Charlie Higson. The genre of this book is suspenseful descriptive, realistic fiction and thriller. Charlie Higson who wrote this book didn’t win an award, but he won for The Dead, the series of The Enemy.

The story takes place somewhere in London in a supermarket. The author is very descriptive about the book; he describes what the zombies look like, so nasty you can picture it in your head! He also describes how brave the characters are.The leader of one the kids' group is dying and they can't hold off the zombies and feed the group. A little boy comes and tells them a place where it is safe but it takes time to get there. Later the injured leader Arran gets himself shot after a  girl accidentally shoots at him because he went after the grown up zombie. Can the group make it in time before the zombies overrun them? Find out in The Enemy.

I would give this book five stars because the book is really descriptive about anythin, especially the places and the zombies faces. This book is a really a turn pager and interesting. especially if you likegory  action.. I would also recommend this book to my friend, Paul, because he has read The Dead and he would like to read the book because it’s the prequel to The Dead.
